What is SurgeryPal?

The program provides a structured approach, releasing new lessons and skills each week for users to practice. Participants are also encouraged to monitor their symptoms, which allows for the delivery of tailored tips that meet individual needs.

To maximize the potential benefits of SurgeryPal, it is recommended that users adhere to the provided guidance and engage with the app on a daily basis. However, it is important to note that the effectiveness of the program may vary among individuals. Users experiencing any life-threatening symptoms are advised to seek immediate consultation with their healthcare provider before continuing with the app.

Who created it? 
SurgeryPal was developed by Dr. Jennifer Rabbitts, Dr. Tonya Palermo, and their dedicated team at the Seattle Children's Research Institute. This team comprises experienced health professionals and researchers specializing in pain management and mobile health interventions for youth. The software development was carried out by 2Morrow, Inc., a company known for its expertise in mobile behavior change technologies.
